About Us

Disintegration Vintage is an idea that came out of 30 years of vintage shopping. Being someone with a largely monochromatic wardrobe, I know how challenging it can be to find quality black vintage clothing. This is what makes Disintegration different: it's an aggregation of black (and black adjacent) vintage clothing. 

On top of being a fan of vintage fashion, I also hold a PhD in fashion history, specializing in 19th century Canadian fashion production. The knowledge I gained through 20 years of studying dress history has given me knowledge of broader fashion studies, including sustainability. In this world of fast fashion hauls and over-consumption, I want to circulate clothing that is still wearable, without generating more textile waste.
